EHIG COMPETITION ACHIEVEMENTS (SAFE PROGRAMME 2015)

First of all, let's congratulations to EHIG wining one silver award and two merit award with the total bonus S$ 3,500. 


Participating in the S.A.F.E. PROGRAMME competition is our EHIG's traditions. The awarding form S.A.F.E. PROGRAMME competition represents the strength of EHIG. Last committee of EHIG won the gold award at S.A.F.E. PROGRAMME 2014. Though we didn't get the gold award this year, all the teams that we sent to the S.A.F.E. PROGRAMME 2015 had won the award at least. Therefore, all of teams can share the glorious moments together. 

You may wonder what projects did we do.Then, then let me introduce the award-wining project to you!

 First, let's look at the project won the silver award.
BLIND SPOT SYSTEM 
Performance

 §Alert drivers to pedestrians detected near zebra crossing.

 §Alert pedestrians to cars approaching zebra crossing.

 §Can alert deaf or blind pedestrians.

 §Mobile and lightweight, battery can be placed inside to make portable

 §Weather-proof. Suitable to be placed at outdoor.


Then, let's look at the projects won the merit award.

UNMAN FIREFIGHTER ROBOT

 Performance
§To build a remote controlled robot with detection system and the ability to extinguish fire.

§To be effective in auto track fire with Flame sensor and camera vision feedback.

§To make sure that it can work in special environment with small size.

SMART PORTABLE TRAFFIC LIGHT  



Performance

§Provide an immediate solution to faulty traffic light.

§Reduce accident due to faulty traffic light.

§Can be viewed from a longer distance.

§ There are other functions other than traffic light.

These projects are great, aren't they! I hope that EHIG can have a better performance in 2016!

We are immensely grateful to all the students who participated in our enlightening excursion to the LTA SG Mobility Gallery on December 11,2023.  It was a day filled with insight, exploration, and joy, as students immersed themselves in the innovative realm of land transport. The day was punctuated with activities that were as fun as they were thought-provoking.  The students gathered in teams to tackle various challenges, from conceptualizing sustainable transport solutions to engaging in simulations that showcased the impact of their ideas on the environment and society.
