1st Virtual Workshop in 2020: AI-based Human Behavior Detection Workshop
In the academic year 2020, the first EHIG workshop 2020 was successfully held on 5th August 2020!
On that day, all 15 SEG students participated in the first official virtual activity held by the EIG Interest Group.
------------The very First Virtual Workshop that we have ever held-------------

After the introduction of the club, the workshop began.
It began with Python Introduction, hosted mainly by ZHANG ZI SHUO - Head of Events and President of EHIG club.
=========================================================================
Image#8: Python Introduction by Zi Shuo
Through his presentation, he explains the main differences between programming languages - C and Python and what leads to the latter one a more popular option that modern programmers prefered on.
Image#9: C vs Python [Programming Languages]
For the newcomer programming language that born in the Year 1991, Python does not require the declaration, simplicity in terms of syntax, compared to its half-century-old counterpart. Despite its low operation speed, it does not affect the fact that it has increased its popularity to the programmers in recent years.

Zi Shuo using an open-source web application called 'Jupyter' to present some programming examples about Python and C for comparison.
To know more about Jupyter, more information can be found in the following website link: https://jupyter.org/

After the presentation by Zi Shuo, the next presentation about HRnet (also known as High-Resolution Net) is mainly hosted by WANG YU SONG.
=========================================================================
Image#11: About HRNet
Throughout the presentation, Yu Song illustrated the idea of HRnet and concepts behind it and to support with, he also demonstrates it with the references with a Yoga video and how the HRNet apply its techniques into the video to detect human pose.
========================================================================
After YuSong's demonstration in HRNet, Zi Shuo and his teammate Kris demonstrate further about the artificial neural network through their Final Year Project - YOLO V5.

Through demonstrations, they included the labels, data sets that the network applied, training processes and even some of the immediate testing sessions video they putting into as reference for participants.

In the presentation, they also mentioned that Semantic Segmentation as one of the applications in AI neural network, which the techniques can be applicable in like Autonomous Driving.

They are 'cx ma' in 1st Place, 'Tintpg34' in 2nd Place and 'Jk' in 3rd Place.
Good Job!
Image#15: Cardholders with RP logo
For rewarding to their enthusiastic in learning of Artificial Intelligence in Detection through this workshop, the prize will be physically mailed to the three Kahoot winners. The prize is the image above, which is a cardholder that labelled with the logo of Republic Polytechnic.
