With heartfelt appreciation, we extend our thanks to every enthusiastic participant who graced the Contactless Doorbell Workshop on March 5, 2024. Special thanks to advisors Mr. Caleb Tan, Dr. Jiang Li Jun who gave advice in guiding throughout the planning and execution of the workshop, ensuring a smooth and educational experience for all participants. Our president shun jin, ensuring that every logistical detail was meticulously planned and executed. Wai yan and jia he worked diligently to facilitate the workshop from arranging the venue to the procurement of the electrical components. The hands-on session was skillfully managed, thanks to exco members to foster an engaging and supportive environment. Marcus, Wayne and Shiva guided the participants through the intricate process of wire wrapping and circuit building.
The workshop started promptly at 10:00 AM with an interactive session that introduced participants to the working principles of a doorbell system. This was followed by a hands-on session where participants, under the guidance of our Exco members, engaged in wire wrapping, laying the groundwork for their subsequent creations. After a brief break, the participants embarked on the practical journey of constructing their own contactless doorbells. The process involved detailed instruction on circuit design and implementation on a breadboard, accompanied by the solderless art of wire wrapping they had just mastered. Following lunch, the participants were provided with kits that included all the components necessary to create a fully functional contactless doorbell. The process was as educational as it was enjoyable. In the spirit of EIG Club's commitment to practical education, the workshop emphasized the importance of troubleshooting and iteration. Participants tested and refined their doorbells, reveling in the triumphant chimes that signaled successful projects. Participants were delighted to receive not only their self-made doorbells but also biscuits as a token of appreciation from the advisor. We are immensely proud of the spirit and determination shown by all the participants. As we continue on our path to innovation and excellence in the realm of technology, we excitedly look forward to holding more workshops of this nature that excite the intellect and the spirit.
